Professional, responsive consulting, design engineering and project management services in the Civil Engineering discipline.
Homestake uses the latest computer software to produce detailed drawings. Flood plains are profiled & drainage is designed to ensure structures & roadways are properly & safely placed.
Founded in 1983 by Wayland L. Britt, P.E., Homestake Engineering began by performing over-all building inspections and structural analyses for builders, realtors, developers and home buyers. Thorough structural inspections were detailed in written reports with the seal of a Registered Professional Engineer, meeting all requirements of lending institutions and government agencies.
Consulting and engineering services were then expanded to include soils drilling, testing and analysis for municipalities and developers.
Soon, Homestake also began serving the growing Town of Parker, Colorado, on many diverse engineering projects, to include sub-division drainage and storm sewer designs, flood plain analysis, hiking/bicycle trails, recreational facilities, and as the designated Town Authority on roadway contracts and oversight of other engineering consulting firms. On-site project supervision and inspections are performed by Homestake professionals throughout each construction and environmental assignment.
Client services have continuously expanded to include most aspects of the Civil Engineering discipline. Homestake is equipped with modern surveying equipment, computer-aided design tools and qualified, experienced professional personnel.
Wayland L. Britt, principal consulting engineer and founder of Homestake Engineering P.C., received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Southern Illinois University, and is currently working on an advanced Civil Engineering degree at the University of Colorado. He formed Homestake Engineering after several years of extensive civil and environmental engineering experience in the public sector as an Environmental Engineer at the E.P.A., and as Project Manager for wastewater treatment facilities in the State of Colorado.
Mr. Britt is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado, and is an Associate Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. He is a Past President of the Environmental Engineers Section of the Colorado Division, American Society of Civil Engineers.
